The Innocence Project, founded in 1992, uses DNA testing to exonerate people who have been wrongly convicted of crimes and support the individuals upon their release. They also work to reform the criminal justice system to prevent future injustices.

To aid their reform efforts, the Innocence Project has a team that analyzes patters in wrongful conviction cases, reviews existing research, and works to improve the accuracy and reliability of forensic science. To help educate others, they provide resources to researchers, lawyers, and others interested in learning about wrongful conviction.

The Innocence Project has helped exonerate 367 people in the United States who served an average of 14 years in prison before their release. 21 of these individuals were on death row.

Dignity in Schools is an organization that fights the systemic problem of pushout in America's schools and works to end to school-to-prison pipeline. They advocate for alternatives to a culture of zero-tolerance, punishment, criminalization, and the dismantling of public schools.

Their goal is a "public school system that values students, parents and communities as decision-makers with a fundamental human right to shape their education." They plan to achieve this by preventing trauma, promoting healing, rejecting the culture of punishment and criminalization, and provide resources to schools that offer a culturally relevant curricula and address racism and all forms of oppression.
